Pre work project 10

1. Fine art portraits are taken through the lens of the photographer. Its up to the one behind the camera to chose where the photo will be taken, the mood or expression they want to be shown. A find art portrait often tells us something about the model.

The first portrait which has a high contrast and large amounts of clarity emphasize the mans features and wrinkles on his face. You are also able to clearly see the dirt and dust on his face and hands. The emerald green colored jacket mixes nicely with the blue background.
The 2nd portrait, which has more brightness and enhanced lights and darks, has less clarity. Leo is in focus and his hair is focused in great detail, but the background is blurred out. This image to me shows how young leo was when we started to become famous, and his innocence with holding the duck gently which wrapped around his neck in an almost hugging matter emphasizes that.

This image of ASAP Rocky was shot for Diors 2017 launch. Dior used Hamburg kennedy to sell their collection.

This image was shot for Disneys new movie Cinderella. It was used as the release poster. She worked with Disney to photograph this image to sell the movie


FINE ART vs COMMERCIAL

In the Fine art portrait of Angelina Jolie,  her face is in focus and is the main part of the portrait, hence the black shirt and black background. There is also a lot of contrast and high whites and blacks. In the commercial one, her face looks doll like and too perfect. Obviously its trying to sell makeup. The entire photo just looks so unreal.

Best! Project 2

close up: This one didn't show all of the guitarist features super close but the light shining on the guitar  emphasized the details on it. For this one I turned the brightness down and then turned the contrast up. I added the white lines on Instagram. I like seeing the forms in an element and emphasizing the different shapes Close up: As i edited this photo, you aren't able to see all of the features of the face but the eyes and whisps of hair are emphasized. The opals of her eyes really brighten the picture and your eyes are drawn to them. For this photo I edited the clarity to make it more glowy and smooth. i then turned the brightness down and used the feather tool to blur the background. Close up: this photo shows the details of her hand and so I would consider it as close up. I increased the brightness and increased the clarity. Contrast and Balance- project 4 For this project, we learned about the different types of contrast and balance.  Asymmetrical balance, symmetrical, radial and contrast in s cale, color, value, texture and shape.
